The Sunday Times’ annual TV Rich List has been revealed and makes for some interesting reading.
Once again, Alan Sugar is sitting pretty atop the list with a fortune of £1.15 million. Lord Sugar has amassed his fortune through numerous business ventures and hugely successful show The Apprentice.
Simon Cowell has also risen up the list with his fortune swelling by 15 million in the last 12 months to a whopping £340 million; Cowell is sandwiched between Dragon’s Den Investors Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne. Other stars include Ant & Dec with £45 million and Jerry Springer, now 72 years old, with a fortune worth £40 million.
Perhaps most interestingly of all is the fact that Top Gear presenter Chris Evans has leap-frogged former presenter Jeremy Clarkson in the list. Evans is one of five new entries on the list but is the highest new star with a fortune worth £50 million. It appears his fortune can only get higher as the show returns on May 8.
