Drake made a surprise performance at Lil Wayne’s ‘Lil Weezyana Festival’ last night (August 28) at New Orleans’ Champions Square. Tidal Streamed the whole thing but cut out the moment Drake came on the stage. Tidal reported that Apple blocked Drakes performance from being streamed on their streaming site. New York Post page six reported that Apple threatened to sue for $20 million if Drakes appearance were to stream on Tidal. Drake reportedly has an exclusive agreement with Apple Music, while Wayne recently became one of the co-owners of Tidal. You can see the disgruntled tweets from Tidal below.
1/2 Apple is interfering with artistry and will not allow this artist to stream. Sorry for Big Brother’s inconvenience.
