After the tragic death of fellow band member, Tom Searle, fans weren’t certain whether or not Architects would continue to stand as a band. This was, of course, later dismissed once an announcement was made to the contrary, but plenty of people were still in mourning.
The release of a brand new single called “Doomsday” – the first ever piece of music the band has made without both the Searle twins – has finally cleared all and any doubt that still remained about their future.
The band’s last album, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, released just before Tom Searle passed away, recently won ‘Best Album’ at the Heavy Music Awards in London, so it will be interesting to see how their new material will compete. Listen to “Doomsday” below:
