The fourth and final new single from Austn indie pop band Wild Child has been released and available in advance of the release of their upcoming album End of the World on March 31 via Reba‘s Ranch Records.
The new release “Cheap Champagne” sounds like a very playful ball entertainment piece. It has some classic vibes in the guitar side in the intro the the song expands to more than a slow-paced piece later on.
If we can pit point the feeling as to explain this beautiful piece we would have to say: it feels like you are yelling out your true feelings while dancing with someone in a classic ball room.
It has a rebellious side when it comes to the lyrics and the ups and downs in the instrumentation side and the delivery and it what makes this piece special.
Speaking of the single, the band say, “This song has always felt special, like we had to get it right. Sometimes songs feel like they fall from the sky, like they were always there floating around above you and you just have to guide them down.
Other songs are more elusive and less obvious and take years to find their form and place; where you collect little pieces of them along the way and have to be patient with them trying to put them all together”.
With over 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 100 million streams to date, Wild Child is renowned for penetrating the world of music with its contagious blend of indie-pop and earworm melodies.
The band’s core duo of Wilson and Beggins created and released their debut album, Pillow Talk, in 2010. (2011). Three more albums, The Runaround (2013), Fools (2015), and Expectations, have been released since then (2018).
As evidenced by their appearance on Austin City Limits, Wild Child has developed into a live act that is not to be missed along the way, winning them a wide-ranging and devoted fan base.
