Multi-platinum band AWOLNATION formed by the frontman Aaron Bruno have published a music video for their “Passion” single.
The video features a disabled skater Og De Souza showcasing his unique arms-only style of skateboarding in his native Recife, Brazil. “Og has a such an amazing passion for life, positivity, and of course, skating”, says Aaron. The frontman admits that this skater is a real inspiration for him and the band appreciates the honour that he became a part of the clip.
The music video was directed by Ravi Dhar, who has also worked with Lianne La Havas, and director of photography Russell Houghten, who is an awarded skate filmer.
The song “Passion” is from the band’s upcoming third studio album Here Comes the Runts, whose release will be followed with a world tour starting on February 11. The tour will include concerts in North America and UK and you can already buy tickets here.
Even though alternative rock is the main genre of the AWOLNATION’s music, mixing rock with some electro-pop sounds has helped to reach fans of quite different genres.
The band is signed to Red Bull Records and in 2011 they released their first studio album Megalithic Symphony, which featured the hit “Sail”. The song has already been certified 6 times platinum. Their second studio album was Run, released in 2015.
“I found a potion for fixing passion“, sings Aaron Bruno on this new record. Get some inspiration for finding your passion from this sunny music video:
