After the prolonged hype surrounding the much-awaited release of the new Kanye West album SWISH, frustrated fans of the rapper and producer have signed a petition asking American President Barack Obama to force Kanye’s hand and use his power to get the album released next week. It was back in February that Kanye West debuted his last single “All Day” and due to the lack of material since then and the absence of a release date for his album, certain people have been angered enough to join the petition.
The petition gained over 100,000 signatures which under the rules of the White House’s ‘We The People’ website where it was posted, means a response from the president is required. However, the White House has chosen to ignore the heart felt plea on the petition that ‘Kanye West has kept us thirsty for too long’ and deleted it from their website, claiming that it was “in violation of our Terms of Participation“. It appears that the self-proclaimed “greatest living rock star on the planet” may have had his title justified as not even The President will give him orders!
