“Clouds Never Get Old” start trippy and processed, before the vocals and backdrop begin proper. The drums are industrial, yet have a warm, fuzzy feeling to them. The flow of his rap delivery certainly has a swing to it, right in the pocket. Chopped vocal samples are like souls howling, floating around the ether.
Director, Scott Lazer, oversees visuals that seem predominantly concerned with the concept of suspended in animation. This goes from falling down one side and reappearing up from the other, everything freezing the moment you seem to be falling to your death, or walking on water. The clip is certainly true to the clouds mentioned in the song title.
