British indie band Bastille continue their covers series and share the first track from the upcoming Other People’s Heartache, Part 4. Simply called “Intro“, the track is a cover of 1971 hit “Wild World” by Cat Stevens.
Bastille’s take of the song is a stripped-down acapella version featuring the vocals of 19-year-old singer Kianja. The voice of the frontman Dan Smith is a recognizable band’s trademark and easily makes this well-known track very Bastille-ish.
The band started their Other People’s Heartache project back in 2012 when they released two mixtapes full of covers. They’ve covered David Guetta, Frank Ocean, Calvin Harris and many other artists. The latest one, Part 3 was released in 2014 and featured Bastille’s original songs with a number of collaborations.
