The average movie running time according to my university lecturers is around one and a half hours to two hours, but it seems they’re willing to make exceptions for blockbusters, extending the time to a maximum of half an hour.
So it’s no surprise that the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s runtime is similar to that. AMC Theatres have reported that flick will run at two hours thirty one minutes, eight minutes longer than Man of Steel but thirteen minutes shorter than The Dark Knight Rises, which currently holds the record for the longest superhero movie run time.
