The BBC are causing a lot of excitement at San Diego Comic-Con this year, especially among Whovians as they have just released the full trailer for series 9 of Doctor Who. On the 19th of September, we will see the return of The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara (Jenna Coleman) as they take on new fearsome monsters, while encountering old foes such as Missy and (of course) the Daleks.
Furthermore, the trailer’s cinematography and sound suggests darker times for Doctor and friends, and the characters’ brooding facial expressions suggest danger is approaching. The 90 second trailer also gives us a first glance at Game of Thrones star Maisie ‘Arya Stark’ Williams. With no announcements on who she will play yet, could it be that she is portraying a young Clara Oswald? Pack your suitcases (and don’t forget your bow tie) because it’s almost time to step into the TARDIS again.
