It may not have made Transformers tier money, but 2014’s gritty big screen reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was still a box office hit, so it is to nobodies surprise that a sequel – subtitled Out Of The Shadows – is on its way. With production ramping up almost immediately following the release of the first film, expect to start seeing a lot more of the heroes in a half shell in the coming days, weeks, and months leading up to the film’s June 3, 2016 release.
Thanks to two new viral posters, today we got our first pre-mutated look at two classic villains which viewers of the ’80s cartoon adaptation will be sure to recognize – Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE Superstar Sheamus). I quite like the fact that they haven’t shied away from the characters dated but iconic traits (especially Bebop’s purple New Wave visor), so here’s to silently hoping that their CGI transformations don’t ruin everything. We also got our first glimpse at the film in action thanks to the release of a new trailer teaser. Expect the full thing tomorrow.
