American singer-songwriter Beck has just come back from the recording studio, as he recently revealed, his fourteenth studio album Hypersace will be released on November 22 via Capitol Records. The hype is increasing fastly after the announce of the 90s iconic star, who has already launched two tracks which will open the album, “Uneventful Days” and “Hyperlife”.
This new work won’t see the American artist working alone with his songs: he has bounded up different collaborations for this album. Among them, pops up the name of Pharrell Williams. Indeed, he has co-produced and co-written seven of the album’s eleven tracks, such as the previously launched “Saw Lightning” and the new song “Uneventful Days”.
As Beck has reported to NME: “I’d always wanted to make a record with him. We had been friendly over the years and had got together and talked about making some music back in 2012“. But the collaborations for this album do not end here: there are Chris Martin, who has provides back-up on “Stratosphere”, and Sky Ferreira singing the backing vocals on “Die Waiting”.
“A lot of my albums, there aren’t many guests, I have memories about albums I’ve made that are just really lonely. I’m in there 12 hours a day just trudging through this production, so it’s a great joy to bring people I know into my music. I’m hoping to be able to do this more often.” he said.
