Yesterday YouTube’s recommended video introduced me to Pop/R&B singer, Bernard Flowers, from Tennessee. As soon as I heard “Past Tense” I instantly started searching for all his other songs and I must say I am disappointed I never heard of him prior to this.
“Past Tense” talks about the struggles we all face with when growing up in life, old friends. The video, directed by D. Baines, has orchestrated some interesting visuals to accompany this message. From arguing over a game of dice, to working on his career and the perks of his success.
The track is smooth and conveys a message we can all relate to. Have a listen below:
