For all those that have been waiting with baited breath for the return of Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro to return you can now breath a sigh of relief. The band are returning with a new album and from that they have given us a new single. “Wolves of Winter” was debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show. The single has been taken from upcoming album Ellipsis that will be released on the 8th of July.
When speaking to Zane Lowe about the new album, lead singer Simon Neil said: “I think we’re saying something new with our seventh album”. Speaking of the recording process he said: “For the first time, we wanted to use the studio as an instrument, to make it feel like it was part of the band, we’re trying to feel like it’s our first album again. We’ve still got balls. We’re still here to get in your face”.
There’s clearly no seven year itch or seventh album itch with Biffy, they are still as passionate as ever as they also announced a huge Glasgow show alongside album news. The show which will take place on August 27 at Bellahouston Park, with Fall Out Boy supporting.
