Proving once again that cartoons aren’t just for kids anymore, BoJack Horseman has been renewed for Season 5 at Netflix. The renewal comes swiftly after Season 4’s premiere on September 8, so the entertainment giant really isn’t horsing around.
The news was shared on each of the show’s social media accounts; a close up of BoJack’s phone, it shows messages from a “clingy netflix exec” announcing that he’s “back for a Season 5“. In the background, a script for “Philbert“, the TV show produced by Princess Carolyn, perhaps indicating what BoJack will be up to in Season 5.
For those who don’t know, Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s BoJack Horseman features BoJack (voiced by Will Arnett), a failed ‘90s sitcom star from cult favourite “Horsin’ Around”, and his journey of self discovery, plagued with depression, alcoholism and failed relationships.
Season 4 saw the continuation of BoJack Horseman’s big-name cameos and critical acclaim. Lin-Manuel Miranda, Matthew Broderick, Rami Malek, Jessica Biel, and Zach Braff were among the big names this season to add to the voice acting of regulars Arnett, Aaron Paul, Amy Sedaris, Alison Brie, and Paul F. Tompkins.
A release date as not yet been announced, and with a show as out-there as BoJack, I wouldn’t want to guess either.
Seasons 1-4 of BoJack Horseman are available over at Netflix.
