It’s been a whirlwind of a week with Apple Music’s 24 hour station, Beats 1, making its debut. With programs presented by the likes of Pharrell, Elton John and Dr Dre, it’s been by far one of the most talked about things this week. Billboard has curated a list of the most played tracks in Beats 1’s debut week and UK rappers Bonkaz, Skepta and Tinie Tempah feature on the list.
Bonkaz and Skepta appeared at number 18, with their tracks “We Run The Block” and “Shutdown”, both being played 16 times by Ebro Darden, Julie Adenuga, Anna Lunoe and even Nas. Let’s not forget the epic “Ojuelegba” remix, which OVO Records co-founder Oliver El-Khatib premiered on the OVO Sound show, featuring Wizkid, Drake and Skepta. Tinie Tempah appeared at number 48 on the list, with his track “Not Letting Go” featuring Jess Glynne being played nine times by the likes of Julie Adenuga.
