American band Sonder, composed of singer and songwriter Brent Faiyaz, and producers Atu and Dpat have teamed up with Jorja Smith for their brand new song “Nothing But You”.
Their lead singer Brent Faiyaz has already released many great projects this year, including two solo singles “Show U Off” and “Eden” that follow his EP F**k The World released at the end of 2020. The songwriter also achieved a couple of features such as “Circles” with Purr and an exclusive collaboration with Tyler the Creator on a track called “Gravity”.
The rising R&B star is continuing his momentum with this new duet with the talented Jorja Smith. The track tackles the subject of an unhappy and ill-fated love story, as a conversation where the two singers discuss the situation and take stock, over an acoustic guitar tune paired with minimal percussions.
The two artists make a great team on this touching single full of emotion, sincerity and love related pain, and their two styles and musical imprint blend perfectly to tell this story.
This track comes as Jorja Smith second project for this year, as she released a new single last January called “Addicted” paired with a music video she co-directed with Savanah Leaf.
