I think I have a thing for California-bred R&B lately. Here’s introducing you to another California native by the name of BRIDGE (real name: Yoni Laham), with his brand new single titled “Secrets“, which is the first offering from his forthcoming sophomore album, which is due later this year.
Some might remember BRIDGE from his breakthrough single “Roll My Weed” featuring Schoolboy Q from 2014. Three years later, he released his debut album Wreck on Warner Bros. Records, which according to his press release, amassed over 4 million streams across DSPs (what are DSPs? Fancy industry term for streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal).
So, what about “Secrets” and why do I want you to check this track out? I really like the vocal performance, and typically, when the guitar and drum led instrumentation to accompany most great vocal performances is not groundbreaking, I tend to overlook the track altogether, but BRIDGE held my attention all the way through with his voice, and that’s a hard thing to do, without any help from the other elements of a song.
You should definitely check this one out, I think you’ll like it. There’s no word yet on when that sophomore album from BRIDGE drops but if he delivers another single that catches my ear, then you’ll definitely hear it here.
