Brighton-based rapper and producer Maczee P has released a touching new single titled “BlueBird“. The self-produced song is a genre-defying masterpiece that combines elements of rap, soul, dance, and R&B to deliver an unforgettable listening experience.
Maczee P’s influences include The Gorrilaz, The Beatles, John Coltrane, Sir Spyro, Mos Def, and D’Angelo. His ability to perform, record and produce all the components of his music has helped him create a unique style that has gained him a loyal fan base.
Maczee P founded a rapping and singing collective named “Law Spot Records” at a young age, and he became part of the Brighton hip-hop scene.
He was discovered by Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn, with whom he collaborated on the songs “December” and “MP” and later joined Yogocop Records. In 2020, he released an album titled When the Light got Tripped in collaboration with Nuphzed.
Maczee P has a string of upcoming single releases and notable shows at some of Brighton’s hottest venues. He is set to release a collaborative EP with Grime/Dubstep producer Jook and a new hybrid synth/dance-inspired rap duet called TRI.SUS.MI with fellow Brighton rapper Nuphzed later this year.
