Young British rapper Jimothy Lacoste has just released a brand new single titled “Describe My Life”. This single is the rapper’s first release of the year and he is coming for the music industry with this energetic and rhythmic song, released along with a music video that shows his homecity, London.
“Describe My Life” opens a brand new chapter for the young talent, who already has many other projects to come later this year.
Starting off with some very catchy electronic sounds, nearly a dance vibe, the artist leans in with the first verse about life, with the lyrics: “Life is too exciting“, then goes on to talk about his outings, including frequenting the pub, as is typical for the British.
All along with the single, we have this very catchy and old-school beat and vibe, which give the song a really nice tone and make is pleasant to listen to. It is very realistic and relatable song to everyone and especially to our British fellows.
Regards the music video, videographer Stanley Brock explained: “This video was shot over the period of two days, in all four corners of London. We wanted to make the video feel true to Jimothy and match the fast, exciting feel of the track. We deliberately selected some locations based on their connection to him […] We really wanted a pub set up, and thought it would be funny to create an over-exaggeratedly staged set“.
Jimothy will be releasing his new EP titled Jimothy’s House Party Package 1 on May 21, and will be going on his Let’s Leave Earth tour this autumn, which will see him perform at London’s renowned Village Underground on September 21, Bristol’s Exchange on the 22nd of September and finally Manchester’s The Deaf Institute on September 24.
