BTS Is The First K-Pop Group To Be Nominated At The Billboard Music Awards | Music News

BTS should just rename themselves the “record-breaking” artists, because they’ve made history once again by being the very first K-pop group ever to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards!

The boy group is currently one of the nominees for the Top Social Artist award, competing against internationally well-known artists Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes.

Four years ago, worldwide sensation PSY was nominated for five awards, including Best New Artist. He took home the Top Streaming Song (Video) for his global phenomenon song, “Gangnam Style”.

Following PSY, BTS is now the second Korean artist to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards, though they set the record as the first K-pop group.

Will they win? ARMYs, help bring BTS the award by voting for this year’s Billboard Music Awards, which opens May 1!
