Luxury fashion brand Burberry has just revealed its Fall/ Winter Men Collection for the London Fashion Week with a runway-inspired by British craft and the great outdoors. The collection sees sleek trench coats, furry outerwear, and leather backpacks taking centre stage, with an emphasis on layering and knitwear pieces.
Speaking about the collection, the brand’s chief creative officer, Ricardo Tisci, said, “for my first Burberry menswear-focused collection, I wanted to celebrate the freedom of expression. Enclosed indoors, I dreamt of the outdoors and its beauty, fuelled by the thought of the creativity that comes when we are together”.
Tisci also talked about how he was fascinated with British craft and outdoor movement in the early 20th Century, and how that fascination inspired this new collection. He touched on how that generation’s respect for nature and the outdoors, as well as their community-building and friendship added to the overall inspiration behind his design for Burberry’s new collection.
He also added that, “this collection is a homage to the relationship between humanity and nature, where we can break free and come together to discover new forms of expression. It’s for those who are defining their path, whose strength and energy have inspired this Burberry collection”.
