Canadian Singer-Songwriter Emily Chambers Releases ‘Stranded In Sedona’ | Music News

Nashville-based vocalist Emily Chambers has just unveiled her new tune “Stranded In Sedona”, her last song of 2020, written on a six-week road trip from Nashville to Vancouver, BC.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Emily Chambers says: “I was seeing someone when I left, and realized that when they weren’t in front of me, I wasn’t thinking about them. ‘Stranded In Sedona’ is about being where your feet are and letting go of all the bullshit.

“Stranded in Sedona” completes a five-track EP the singer/songwriter has been writing since 2016. The EP tells stories of solo road trips across the US, late nights in cities the artist has fallen in love with, hard conversations with people I have fallen out of love with, real talk with myself and countless new beginnings.

For six years, Emily Chambers was running a band while working a 9-5 job in insurance, underwriting commercial property in Vancouver. She always dreamed of going solo, moving into a camper van and touring North America.

She has now completed three US tours, performing in LA, Austin, New Orleans, Nashville, New York City and more. She has performed with the likes of Rayland Baxter, Nikki Lane, Delta Rae, Walker Lukens, Liz Cooper & the Stampede, Briston Maroney, and Lawrence.
