The awaited and partially revealed video for “Ring” has arrived today! The single from Cardi B also represents a special collaboration with another young but strong presence in the female music scene, Kehlani.
The track comes from Cardi’s debut album Invasion of Privacy, which dropped 4 months ago; let’s keep in mind that she was pregnant at the time of the official release and the video for “Ring” has just appeared.
It is a mixure of futuristic and classic scenes, with telephone wires everywhere, but also old devices and everything is set in a supernatural-silver atmosphere. The setting of the video seems to represent the lyrics of the song.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper appears trapped into the cables while Kehlani leads the choreography of the clip; she is also the prominent voice of the song, alongside Cardi’s rap verses.
This video follows Cardi’s visual for her summer hit “I Like It” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Cardi B recently dropped out of Bruno Mars‘ tour, and will be making an appearance at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards but reportedly not performing – her first public appearance since giving birth to her baby.
