The Irish country singer and songwriter Catherine McGrath has just unveiled her brand new single “Thought It Was Gonna Be Me” which is lifted up from her upcoming debut album set to be released this spring via Warners Bros. Records.
This new song is already her ninth consecutive New Music Friday UK playlisted track on Spotify and follows her previous one “Talk Of This Town” which had made her first airplay presence on BBC Radio 1.
Catherine, well known for her song-writing skills, regularly goes to Nashville, which is the country music epicenter. Indeed she’s just returned after having attended the Country Music Awards, alongside the likes of Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini and more.
She has also worked with top names in Nashville and in the UK including Steve Robson (One Direction, Take That), Liz Rose (Taylor Swift) and Jimmy Robbins (Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert), with some of the tracks featuring on her previous two EP’s One and Starting From Now and on the upcoming album.
Already surrounded by many fans, from November 28, this young artist goes on tour, and will be performing in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin and Belfast.
