The Met Gala the prestigious annual fundraising hosted in new york and where every celebrity will be caught at. If not, will be looked upon. The annual fashion institute opens up its door for another festival of glitz and glam. And what’s any fashion event or any event that involves a bunch of celebrities and the media without a pinch of fashion failures, and a splash scandal!!! And this time, many celebrities out did themselves. So where should we start?
The Met Gala brings in millions for the museum’s Costume Institute, from singers to models from models to film directors and every year the theme for the event changes. Last year the theme was of Chinese influences on western fashion and boy did everyone go all out. We can’t forget about Rihanna who stole the show in her HUGE bizarre yellow dress that had exploded social media. Some for compliments and others for a little joke (memes).
And this year theme was… Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, talk about mouthful! and the price for attending this event is too! This year, tickets cost was $30,000 (£20,456 in pounds) per person and even if you had the money, this event is tricky to get into.
