Why We Run

Written for a family member suffering with mental illness, indie rock band Why We Run share new single “Where I’ll Be Waiting”.

Mental illness is an uphill struggle for whoever has it, but family and friends can also be affected. Discussing feelings of hopelessness and loneliness, the lyrics project those emotions onto the listener. The beat is steady, patient, and rather “hypnotic” as a user on SoundCloud describes it.

“Where I’ll Be Waiting” came out on April 22 and is lifted from upcoming album Holograms which will be released at the end of June. Listen below:

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so take time out to educate yourself on the topic and share your findings with others.
