Charlie Puth – Mother | Music Video

As promised, US singer/songwriter and producer Charlie Puth released a new single titled “Mother” on September 12, and the track comes with an action-packed music video to accompany.

Last month, the 27-year-old artist shared “I Warned Myself”, his first new song since he dropped his 2018 album Voicenotes, which reached the No 4 spot on Billboard’s 200 Albums chart. The new track was also accompanied by some intense, little-bit-random visuals and both the single and the video have been very acclaimed by the singer fans.

As Puth later announced, two other new singles would follow “I Warned Myself” and he even unveiled the name of the second one and the date of release weeks ago. In “Mother”, the Grammy-nominated artist unveils his rebel side along with a youthful, funny video, which shows Puth characterised as a teenager spending some time with friends and laying shirtless by a pool.

“If your mother knew all of the things that we do,” Puth sings on the chorus, revealing himself as a ‘bad boy’ and not as the “nice” and “well-mannered” guy that his girl’s mother thinks he is.

The clip also sees Puth’s love interest sneaking out of her house to drive around with some friends to have a wild night together and arriving home before her mom notices. Images of different ‘crazy’ night’s scenarios are combined with summery footages of a sexy Puth laying just in his blue jeans next to the swimming pool as he sings the lyrics of his latest track.
