Gary Sohmers, known for his early years as a singer and composer in Chicago and Madison, Wisconsin, has released a captivating new track titled “Forever Girl“. After working in clubs and studios, recording, singing, and producing, Sohmers moved to Boston in 1983, refining his craft and broadening his horizons.
The mesmerizing “Forever Girl” captivates listeners with its beautiful instrumentation and Sohmers’ alluring voice, blending both softness and liveliness.
The cast concept recording features accomplished singers such as Dave Bickler, British rock star Chris Farlowe as the villain Dick T.Raitor, rock and soul singer Barrence Whitfield (of The Savages) as the “star” of the concert, Voice, and newcomer Liz Proteau as the female lead Terra.
Bill Holloman, who has collaborated with the likes of Springsteen and Nile Rodgers, orchestrated, organized, and co-wrote the song. Paul David Hager, known for his work with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Jonas Brothers, and Devo, mixed the track.
The story behind these songs began in early 2017, when Gary Sohmers composed many of the songs during his career and wrote three novels from the perspectives of three key characters. Sohmers spent his formative years working with talents like Butch Vig in clubs and studios, recording and performing in Madison, Wisconsin.
