Chloe Lilac Drops Her Sophomore EP ‘DOUCHEBAG’ | Music News

Brooklyn born and raised artist Chloe Lilac has dropped her sophomore EP titled DOUCHEBAG, released in collaboration with RCA Records.

With the EP, the young artist has also released also a single of the same name, accompanied by a self-directed and self-shot video. The track is characterised by a pop-punk sound and is dedicated, as it may sound, to her not-so-loved ex. Indeed, Chloe says that “It’s really about me just sticking it to that motherf***er”.

Chloe started her official career in 2017, when she released her first single “Reckless“, which immediately broke the Top 5 on the US Spotify Viral Chart.

However, her passion for music started when she was 13 years old. The 18-year-old Chloe used to sneak out from her home to go performing on the streets of New York, showing her strong attitude towards life.

Her type of writing is the direct consequence of her humble roots, because she produced most of her tracks by herself, while building her skills. As a matter of facts, Chloe turned this fearful and uncertain year into a great opportunity to write and create her EP, reason why she decided to shoot two official videos during quarantine, in her hometown.

The EP is the perfect reflection of this strange period and helped the artist’s growth, which is why all of her tracks have the intent to inspire her listeners to fight adversity.

As a young woman I’m so conditioned to just take what men give me and thank them for it. These songs on my EP are about empowering myself and my listeners to give them strength to manifest confidence. It’s for myself and for them. It’s both”, Chloe said.
