Chris Brown is back in the news for another episode. Not for a new crazy song, movie or video, but yesterday night at the end of a concert he was performing in West Palm Beach, Florida, he was arrested.
It was an unusual exit but not that new: the “Freaky Friday” singer has quite a long story of legal problems and troubles with the police. As everyone may remember, in 2009 he was pleaded guilty to the assault of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
It was a big scandal and the pictures she posted on her socials sparked critics and tarnished Brown’s reputation. In 2015 he ended his probation for the case and still today he comments “that’s going to haunt me forever“. But just one year after, he was arrested again on suspicion of assault with a weapon, after a woman told police he had threatened her with a gun.
The reason this time, which follows last year accusations of his ex-partner Karrueche Tran, who was granted a five-year restraining order from Brown after violent episodes, is uncertain.
Chris is at the moment on the US leg of his Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour and yesterday was performing at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre; the police actually waited till he finished his show and then arrested him straight after.
A few hours later, he posted a picture on his Twitter page confirming tonight’s concert, as he was released after paying $2,000 (£1,512) bond.
The 29 years-old singer, actor, dancer, songwriter reached the height of success really fast but maybe should calm down a little now…
