Chris Cornell, Soundgarden’s frontman, has announced today (June 2) that his first solo record in six years will be called Higher Truth and will be released on September 18. Higher Truth will be the follow-up to his critically panned Scream which featured the Timbaland produced single, “Part of Me”. Alongside the news of a new album, Cornell released the details for an extensive tour of the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand although no details for a UK tour have been imparted as yet.
