The highly anticipated Daft Punk documentary featuring none other than the artsy Kanye West, Pharrell, Nile Rodgers and more, will be released on the 24th of June, it has been confirmed. THe BBC Worldwide Frances documentary about the iconic band, was directed by Herve Martin Delpierre, the director known for his 2007 TV documentary That’s Poker… Dan le Peau d’un Joueur, and was written by Delpierre, with Marina Rozenman.
The film features A-list celebrity friends such as those listed above and then some, plus former Daft Punk Manager Ed Banger, founder of Pedro Winter. Joseph Trapenese who worked with Daft Punk on the Score for Tron: Legacy has created the theme song which already feels epic. The mysterious duo, who has managed to keep intriguing their audience for so many years with amazing music and visuals, seems as if they will be opening up more to the public, or maybe it’s just promotion and they will just be flying the flag for french musical art, whichever it is, its one many will watch.
