Emma See is a London-based electronic pop performer. She was born and raised in the Danish countryside, the daughter of a painter and a bronze-caster. At the age of seven, she began producing and recording music in a makeshift studio in her father’s shed, which sparked her interest in electronic music.
She travelled to the United Kingdom to seek a career in music when she was in her late teens. She’s been collaborating with producers from all around the world since moving to the UK, capturing the notice of Lana del Rey and Gabrielle Aplin’s collaborators.
She draws inspiration from musicians like Tove Lo and Banks, combining unique, delicate vocals with strong hitting rhythms and booming synths to create her combination of electronic pop. Emma’s therapeutic rendition of pop music combines human themes of heartbreak, homesickness, and empowerment with irresistible melodies.
“Thinking About It” is a stripped-down love ballad that tells the story of chemistry and a new connection between two people, but also of the need to hold back and keep your emotions in check. The song is filled with emotion and energy, but each aspect is still under control, generating an almost unbearable tension.
Emma’s vocals shine in “Thinking About It”, which are sweet and friendly while also being strong in her sense of self. Synths, deep bass, drums, and a splash of guitar brilliantly complement the vocals, with occasional meticulous harmonies, resulting in a captivating and powerful addition to Emma See’s already growing musical portfolio.
