Having made a name for herself in both Deadpool movies, as well as winning over horror fans with the slasher comedy Tragedy Girls, Brianna Hildebrand is now ready for her spotlight. She’s set to headline a new series at Netflix titled Trinkets, which will be based on the YA novel of the same name by Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith.
Hildebrand will star as Elodie, a young misfit who makes an unlikely group of friends when she’s forced to go to a Shoplifter’s Anonymous meeting. Along with Moe, the mysterious outsider, and Tabitha, the imperfect picture of perfection, the trio will “find strength in each other as they negotiate family issues, high school drama and the complicated dilemma of trying to fit in while longing to break out”.
The first season will run for ten thirty-minute episodes and will also star plenty of talent from other acclaimed shows such as Big Little Lies, 13 Reasons Why and Mad Men, including Kiana Madeira, Henry Zaga, and Brandon Butler.
Linda Gase (Still Star-Crossed) is on board as showrunner, while Sara St. Onge (You Me Her) is on board to direct the first two episodes.
