Conceived as an extension of the existing graphic design studio originally based in Paris, Death in Paris is a lifestyle brand that focuses on designing functional accessories that reflect the studio’s modernistic aesthetic. The concept behind the brand is to create aesthetically pleasing, practical lifestyle products. This season, the label has created a contemporary collection strictly monochrome.
Inspirations for their Spring/Summer 2015 collection come from a diverse and eclectic range of subjects. This season, the designers looked to skylines, rooftop swimming pools, vast open spaces and Japanese city life, focusing on the concept of utilizing small living spaces using clever design, this ethos is applied to their product to devise brilliantly conceived functional carriers. The collection boasts a concise range of minimal pieces, including;
RIVAGE – an innovative PVC clutch, devised from super soft perforated nappa leather with a plain leather section at the base of the bag. The clutch is beautifully minimal with a modern fash of PVC throughout the centre of the bag. RIVAGE is as functional as it is stylish with slick, modern details and innovative fabrications.
HORIZON – a completely new style for the brand, this cutting edge shopper is soft and tactile, yet crisp and modern. Updating any outft with a classic, contemporary cool. HORIZON follows the Rivage style with a clear PVC section in the centre of the bag. An everyday bag with an effortless, unconventional aesthetic.
PISCINE – a cross body carrier which can be easily adapted into a clutch, this style has clean lines and a simple shape, with a clear PVC body, small envelope pocket and embossed silver logo on the front. This style has an originate neoprene lining with two pockets inside. Piscine is clean, unmistakable and sleek.
VÉRANDA BLANC – features a clear plexiglass shell with metal hardware, updated for SS15 in a new crisp white. The bag comes with a removable leather and chain strap and white Nappa leather and PVC pocket insert. A clever addition to the range perfect for day or evening.
