Streetwear and skate clothing designer Dickies Life have announced a new collaboration with the Hackney Bumps Community Group. With the project, they want to release a collaborative apparel collection to raise funds for a skatepark regeneration project in East London.
The collection will be a limited-edition and will feature the Lined Eisenhower Jacket Double Knee Work Pants and Elizaville Women’s Work Pants. They all will come in black and featuring an embroidered Hackney Bumps logo.
The entire revenue from the capsule will go directly to the Hackney Bumps Community Group, which was founded in 2019 by local skaters, to regenerate the skatepark and build an inclusive and diverse community of skaters.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic the planned renovation fell through, two of the founder members began polishing the surface themselves. Then a community of volunteers join them.
The local community and the skaters in East London are the core of their work. According to that they’re offering free skate lessons and and championing inclusivity and diversity since its inception.
