As the US elections are getting closer and closer, many celebrities are raising their voice to inspire people for casting their vote. Main goal is to increase the participation on the political process. In addition to that they want to reduce the voting gap between generations and ethnical groups, which is a fundamental problem in America.
Now the luxury fashion and streetwear destination Dover Street Market is taking action by announcing collaboration with When We All Vote, a non-profit organization that seeks to shift voting culture.
This initiative was started by Michelle Obama, Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Janelle Monae, Chris Paul, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw in 2018.
Among the fashion players who join the political T-shirt collection are Off-White, Marc Jacobs, Vaquera, Hood By Air, Goodfight, Selena Gomez and many more.
All of them were asked to create a piece that reflects their own voting message. The resulting collection, which launches on September 26, will see 100 percent of proceeds going toward the nonprofit organization When We All Vote.
“That it’s not just about our individual concerns but for all of humanity. All of these perceived differences and belief systems can’t hide the fact that we all share the planet, and we must do all that we can to ensure that future life can also survive and thrive. It’s not about you, it’s not about me, it’s about us”, designer and DJ Honey Dijon who participates in the collection says.
