DIY Artist Nora Lilith Releases Debut Single ‘Button’ | Music News

US newcomer Nora Lilith has released her first single “Button” most recently. The DIY track offers a first insight into her style which is capturing a smooth fusion of alternative, indie and R&B.

As artist Nora Lilith, who grown up in Berlin and Texas, is taking a DIY approach to her music with writing, producing, and mixing everything herself. She stands out with a clear and mysterious voice and trained this talent for a long time. She has been singing her whole life and started teaching herself how to use Ableton merely two years ago.

In her music she connects her naivety as a newcomer with the raw nature of production and recording textured soundscapes of lo-fi R&B bedroom pop tracks. She takes her inspiration from a wide variety of styles and genres. For the future she wants to keep experimenting with different sounds to explore on her own style.

Before her solo career Nora was known for being one half of the now defunct indie electronic project called NÄM. Their single “Face” made it into several chart ranking lists and gained international attention. Furthermore they have received coverage from blogs like Earmilk and IndieShuffle and played shows, afterparties and festivals.

Now Nora is returning with something completely new and “Button” is just the beginning of it! The song switches between soulful grooves to mysterious trance moments. Listen the dreamy single with wonky rhythms and fluid tempo changes below!
