Drake has made history as the first artist to debut at the first, second and third places on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at the same time. After the first week of releasing the tracks, his latest song titled “What’s Next” is number one, with “Wants And Needs” featuring Lil Baby at number two and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross at #3.
“What’s Next” was so popular, it reached 49 million streams, 19,000 downloads and 11.9 million radio airplay audience impressions in the first week alone, while “Wants and Needs” reached 41.5 million streams, 17,000 sold and 2.1 million airplay audience, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” got 32.1 million streams, 15,000 in sales and 869,000 in radio reach.
The only two other artists that have done something as incredible as having the number 1, 2 and 3 spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 were The Beatles and Ariana Grande.
In other news Silk Sonic lands at the #4 spot with “Leave The Door Open” in an all new top four for the Billboard singles chart, with Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” falling to the fifth spot, while Cardi B’s “Up” drops to #6 from its peak of #2, and The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” falls down one spot to #7, his second entry in the top 10 is “Blinding Lights” which sits at #8, after spending four weeks at the #1 spot last year.
