Although it may be hard to believe, and most definitely will come as a shock, Drake is set to star in the next season of UK TV drama, Top Boy. The Canadian superstar is said to have bought the rights to the show, and Ashley Walters has told The Daily Mirror that the rapper met the creators of the show last week, with producers planning to make a “significant role” for the artist.
Although recognised as a rap artist, it should be noted that Drake did start out his career on Canadian TV show, Degrassi. Ashley Walters, who stars as DuShane in the series, went on to say “He loves acting, of course he wanted a part. He’s going to be really hands on and is getting stuck into it“. We can all look forward to the third series of Top Boy, set to be on Netflix sometime in 2018.
