Duro Olowu presented his brand new Fall 2023 Ready-to-wear collection in London on Monday at the famous Mason’s Yard shop.
The designer impressed the audience with a very high quality performance. We can notably find a sublime suit for women made of a magnificent velvet.
It is a collection full of joy and different patterns such as leopard spots, flowers, checks and other geometric shapes inspired by the 60s.
There are all kinds of clothes, dresses, trousers, jackets and even capes.
The designer told us that he wanted his potential customers to be comfortable but also to be able to transport them easily.
This is why he has designed knitted coats that can be easily rolled up in a suitcase and dresses made of silk that can be easily ironed.
A series of slip dresses had serpentine panels that guided the eye around the curves of the body, from one point to the next. Skirts and slacks hit the models’ calves precisely.
Fashion enthusiasts can’t get enough of Olowu, whose blend of narrow fit, colourful designs, and couture touches is wonderful.
His abilities are so well-known that emerging fashion designer Pharrell Williams reportedly paid him a visit earlier this week when attending the autumn 2023 display at Olowu’s store in London’s St. James’s neighbourhood.
Pharrell was in London for the Moncler Genius event and attended the Olowu presentation with his wife Helen Lasichanh and their oldest child Rocket.
He was only last week named creative head of Louis Vuitton for men.
