Ed Sheeran has recently received an honorary degree as well as opening a new wing of a care home in his home town.
Sheeran was awarded an honorary doctorate from University Campus Suffolk (UCS) in Ipswich for his “outstanding contribution to music”. You can watch his acceptance speech below, as well as picture from his Instagram where he celebrated with his fans.
The singer said during his acceptance speech: “I’ve had an amazing year with my world tour and this makes it even better. Suffolk is very much where I call home and I’m always welcomed back and get so much support.”
