Commanding the spotlight as the lead song on Maebh’s new EP Shy, “I’d Miss You Too Much” is a surreal track enhanced by Maebh’s ethereal high notes and characteristic soothing harmonies.
While the song articulates the longing for freedom yet remaining bound to where one stands — “You know I want to fly away, I’m thinking about it every single day, but I’m still here” — “I’d Miss You Too Much” transports listeners to a tranquil island where time stands still and only blissful thoughts flourish.
Maeve Brayne, also known as Maebh and pronounced May-ve, is a burgeoning artist proficient in singing, songwriting, and production. Demonstrating her prowess, she self-produced and successfully launched her debut EP By The Way on 20th May, with the aid of Help Musicians.
Maebh’s distinctive sound has already resonated with several radio stations, earning spots on BBC Radio 1 & 2’s introducing shows hosted by Gemma Bradley. Notably, her lead single “Wild Strawberry” along with three songs from the EP “By The Way” have featured on radio shows hosted by Jo Whiley and Kitchen Tiles.
Hailing from Newcastle and Cumbria, Maebh was introduced to the world of music through Irish and traditional Northumberland songs. Later, she refined her style by drawing inspiration from a range of life experiences, especially relationships, and blending RnB backing vocals and harmonies with lo-fi beats and folk music.
Without a doubt, we foresee a rapid growth in her fan base in the near future and look forward to witnessing the evolution of Maebh’s musical journey.
