Independent German artist Kasimp is releasing his second single “The Way” after two years of silence. The young German is part of the emerging artists of the moment. Kasimp creates his projects from his bedroom and making a unique type of music driven by fresh and funky, groove-infused conscious-Pop.
We can perceive the importance of music in this life; indeed, it was one of the only things that truly resonated within him and we can hear it through his songs, such as his debut track titled “Ocean”.
He is making the difference by blending totally different type of music and taking his inspirations from Parliament-Funkadelic, Frank Ocean and even the Arctic Monkeys. His goal is to produce a euphoria feeling for the listeners. He wants to give us a possibility to take a break and abandoned ourselves by forgetting the pressure around us. This feeling making its all sense during this period with the lockdown and world crisis.
Through his new single “The Way“, Kasimp describes “the morning after a heartbreak, the melancholy but also the start of something new. The sound represents the feeling of the morning, dewdrops and singing birds, the sounds of morning”. We can recognise the different instruments with the beatbox, and the rhythm of it is quite pleasant and fresh.
