Versace, Versace, Versace, Versace.
There is no doubt the clout of Versace is reaching a fever pitch at the moment, with Donatella pulling off one jaw-droppingly stunning show after another. It is therefore hardly surprising that the designer’s latest Spring/Summer 2019 Men’s show, whose collection veered between streetwear and tailoring, was definitely one of the highlights of Milan Fashion Week.
Set at the Palazzo Versace in Via Gesù, the Italian fashion house’s extravaganza was a colourful and exciting affair which confronted the subject of sensuality in masculinity.
“It’s about different kinds of men, the street style star, the high fashion man, the boardroom executive” Donatella said about the collection, “[The Versace Man] is a man who doesn’t care about the rules, he is not ordinary, he is a man who is looked at, talked about“.
Interjected with womenswear pieces, the rave-glamor menswear show brought the surprise return of Kendall Jenner after a five-month break from the runway, and the it-girl strutted down the catwalk alongside fellow models Bella Hadid and Stella Maxwell.
