Ezra Miller Scandals Won’t Stop ‘Dalìland’: The Dalì Biopic Set To Close TIFF 2022

Many interesting films and actors are expecting to walk at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada this September, and Dalìland is one of the most anticipated titles.

Directed by Mary Harron, who reached global approval with her masterpiece American Psycho, this biopic tells the later years of the eclectic Spanish artist Salvador Dalì and his marriage.

The story is told through the eyes of Dalì’s young assistant, James, while he helps the artist to prepare for a big gallery show.

On Tuesday, TIFF’s CEO Cameron Bailey announced that Dalìland will close the 47th annual Film Festival in Toronto, praising Mary Harron: “We couldn’t be prouder that Harron is a Canadian who has taken her singular explorations of iconic eccentrics to the world stage”.

The director will be joined by the cast, with Ben Kingsley (Dalì), Barbara Sukowa, Christopher Briney, Rupert Graves, and Suki Waterhouse, who will walk on the Canadian red carpet in a month.

However, what attracted fans’ curiosity from all around the world is that actor Ezra Miller, who interprets a younger version of Dalì, has been left out of the cast list.

Of course, this comes with no surprise because we all know how Hollywood works, and the list of scandals Miller has been collecting has become quite inconvenient.

In 2022, the actor, who became famous for his roles in Fantastic Beats and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, has been arrested first in Hawaii for a second-degree assault, and now he has been detained again in Vermont with a criminal charge for burglary.

Even if The Hollywood Reporter announced that Miller remains in Dalìland, the career of this, at least once, promising actor is falling apart, with Warner Bros. making up their minds for The Flash, where Miller was supposed to be the leading actor.
