Let’s face it, we’ve all been secretly hoping some iconic Harry Potter characters will at least be referenced to in Warner Bros upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. However, according to movie star Dan Fogler (Jacob), they could be taking it one step further and actually including younger versions of our favourite Harry Potter characters.
Speaking in an interview with MTV, Fogler speculated over the possibility without giving too much away: “As the stories go along, you will hear mention of your favourite characters. And you may meet their young counterparts along the way”. Perhaps a young Dumbledore is a possibility?
Set in 1926, seventy years before Harry’s story begins, the movie follows protagonist Newt (Eddie Redmayne) throughout his adventures in New York City, where he’s aspiring to study the abundance of magical creatures within the wizarding world. His research is eventually published into a book, which becomes a renowned piece at Hogwarts. However, expect Newt to face some problems along the way, particularly ones involving a muggle named Jacob…
Alongside Redmayne, the film will also star Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), (Jacob Kowalski) and Samantha Morton (Mary Lou). Return to the wizarding world on 18 November and watch the latest trailer below:
