I was pleased to wake up this morning to find that the Festival No. 6 daily line-ups had been released, and it’s fair to say it’s going to be a brilliant year. Already an award winning event, the festival was also nominated for the ‘Best Independent Festival’ at the AIM Independent Music Awards earlier this week, and it has now finally broken down its daily itinerary to reveal its biggest line up to date, taking from September 3 to September 6.
Based in the gloriously quaint Port Merion, the festival thrives with artistic talent and adventure. Ranging from headliners like Belle and Sebastian, who are set to play on the Saturday, to exciting drama and art workshops and even special guests like Irvine Welsh, acclaimed novelist of books like Trainspotting and Filth. This truly is the event for the spontaneous and the adventurous, as it presents a certainly magical experience you won’t typically find in Leeds.
With performances from the infamous Black Grape and the quickly rising Catfish and The Bottlemen, accompanied by artists like Rae Morris and James Bay, it’s guaranteed to be something special. With an atmosphere like no other, it’s a weekend well spent. And just when you think it couldn’t really cater to everyone, the festival will feature DJ sets from Years and Years, Mark Ronson and even the legendary Greg Wilson! So what are you waiting for? Tickets are still available here.
