The above picture, from Entertainment weekly, shows actor Isaac Hempstead Wright as a grown up Bran Stark for the highly anticipated season 6 of Game of Thrones. Bran Stark was notably absent from season 5 and this picture highlights how it’s young cast have aged quicker than their literary counterparts. Hempstead is almost 6 feet tall, so gone are the days of riding Hodor’s back.
Season 6 is heading into uncharted territory as all the characters have moved beyond George R.R. Martin’s published word. Bran Stark is thought to be honing his gifts under the guidance of the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven, to be portrayed by Max von Sydow. Von Sydow can be heard as the voiceover in teaser trailer below.
For fans like myself, the new season of the hit TV show cannot start soon enough. We know it is due in April but HBO are yet to announce an official date.
